Founded in the 1840’s by Cuban tobacco mogul Julián Álvarez Granda, the original Henry Clay cigar brand was conceived in a factory in Havana, Cuba. Decades later, the business interest of Alvarez was transferred to the British company Henry Clay and Bock & Co. Ltd.

Today Henry Clay premium cigars are produced in the Dominican Republic, and are known for the free-form way they roll the cigars, giving the tobacco wrappers a rugged and haggard look in appearance. Make no mistake, these cigars may look different than other premium cigars, but they are excellent smoking gems! The reason, Henry Clay cigars are hand-rolled using perfectly aged Dominican tobaccos combined with Connecticut Broadleaf wrappers.
